DAIRIKU, the brainchild of Japanese designer Dairiku Okamoto, has released its Spring/Summer 2025 lookbook titled “A Space Odyssey.” Drawing inspiration from the 1997 sci-fi thriller Gattaca, the collection embraces futurism with a space-age twist, offering a fresh perspective on contemporary fashion.

The lineup showcases a diverse range of garments including jackets, coats, long-sleeve tops, coveralls, leather pants and trousers. Predominantly in blue, black and white, the pieces evoke a sleek, otherworldly aesthetic that balances functionality with avant-garde design. A standout look features long-sleeve coveralls paired with silver gloves and glasses, exuding a distinctly futuristic vibe that encapsulates the collection’s essence.

The lookbook’s creative direction shines through its innovative set design reminiscent of Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey. Scenes depict a space station backdrop and a crash site with broken spaceship pieces and smoke, perfectly complementing the collection’s theme. This attention to detail extends beyond the clothing, creating an immersive visual experience that transports viewers into DAIRIKU’s futuristic vision.

DAIRIKU’s SS25 collection is set to launch soon. Stay tuned for release dates and pricing information.
