BTS’s Jin Named Global Ambassador by French Jewelry Brand FRED
The first luxury deal for Jin as a solo artist.
Jin of BTS has secured his first luxury deal in a partnership with French jewelry label FRED. The K-pop star will serve as a Global Brand Ambassador for the brand.
“His radiant energy, artistic qualities, values and high standards constantly push him to excel, strongly resonating with those of our maison and our founder Fred Samuel, with whom he shares an unwavering optimism and joie de vivre,” FRED vice president and artistic director Valérie Samuel said, per WWD.
While BTS has previously struck brand deals as a group – notably serving as brand ambassadors for Louis Vuitton until Virgil Abloh’s tenure – the deal with FRED marks a first for Jin as a solo artist.
Jin is the first member of BTS to complete his mandatory service in the South Korean military and was discharged last month. The K-pop group isn’t expected to reunite until 2025 when the other seven members – J-Hope, Jimin, Jung Kook, RM, Suga and V – have all completed their service.
Jin is reported to be releasing his debut solo LP later this year, though the singer hasn’t made an official announcement regarding the project.
