Birkenstock Opens First Parisian Retail Store in European Expansion
Marking its first store in France.
Birkenstock continues its European expansion with a new retail location. Opening its first stand-alone retail store in France, specifically located in Le Marais region of Paris, the two-story footwear store gives customers the quintessential Birkenstock experience.
Paris is a natural fit for the brand as it is well-known to be a fashion and cultural capital of the world. Le Marais district is widely seen as one of the trendiest neighborhoods within the city. The store spans across 130-square-meters and features gypsum walls, a nod to French architectural history. Taking design notes from the leather and cork signature of Birkenstock, the material is embedded throughout the space, connecting consumers with the brand’s core aesthetic. The basement provides an “experience area” where the store showcases some of the brand’s latest campaigns through community events and retail activations.
In celebration of the store opening this past weekend, Birkenstock showcased a new NATURAL ACTIVITY RECOVERY PACK which is limited to 1,500 pieces and features an exclusive 250-year packaging. The kit also includes an Active Recovery footbed along with the special edition Birki Air 2.0 and all-new cork tools. With the package, it boasts an unmatched foot recovery experience that enhances all current solutions. The pack will be available in the Paris store and online before being fully integrated into the BIRKENSTOCK range by 2025.
