SUEZ Weaves a "Common Thread" In Latest Drop
Employing long-established Egyptian Khayamiya practices.
Middle Eastern design studio SUEZ channels its detailed heritage into intricate co-ed collections. The previous Hypebeast Flea participant upholds tradition with elevated craftsmanship, weaving a “Common Thread” in its recent summer drop.
SUEZ’s latest offering illuminates long-established Egyptian weaving techniques, employing Khayamiya practices through century-old artistic applications. The hand-stitched methods are mirrored on one-of-one outerwear with mosaic-like embroidery, which took months to create in the Egyptian capital.
Printed khayamiya methods also appear on patterned shorts and lightweight trousers, arriving in two-toned offerings that keep versatility at the fore. SUEZ’s signature Palestinian keffiyeh designs illuminate bold red button-downs and matching bottoms for men and women, completing the collection with illustrative tees promoting Arabic scriptures.
