Abu Dhabi Meets Saint Tropez in Vilebrequin’s Latest Capsule Drop

Luxury swimwear brand Vilebrequin is looking to the shores of Abu Dhabi in its latest drop, collaborating with Experience Abu Dhabi to craft a new capsule collection inspired by and for holidays in the vibrant destination.

Synonymous with bright colors and bold patterns, a series of the French brand’s past collections have seen it playfully bring to life places, stories, and creative identities through swimwear. For its latest drop, Vilebrequin draws on the stunning landscape of Abu Dhabi’s waters, enriching a pattern of palm trees and dotted arches with gold and blue jewel-tones.

The capsule’s dedicated print lands on a coordinating men’s set made up of a lightweight linen bowling shirt and classic swimming trunk, lending a statement look when worn together. In the women’s offering, the print is placed on a one-piece V-neck swimsuit and an embroidered organic cotton dress. Rounding off the capsule, the brand crafts mini versions of the trunks and swimsuit for kids.

Celebrating the capsule in ultimate French Riviera style, the brand hosted a launch party at La Plage Vilebrequin L’Ondine during the Cannes Film Festival. The beachside location was transformed into Palace Mille et Une Nuits – translating to the palace of a thousand and one nights – with exotic plants, lanterns and other Arabic-inspired interiors.
