KidSuper and Cirque du Soleil Brought a Night of Theatrics to SS25

Models embodied wooden puppets and marionette dolls that told a story about defying conventions.

“The show is called ‘It’s All Up In The Air,” because when someone asked me what I’m doing for my show, that’s what it is,” Colm Dillane, creative director and founder of KidSuper tells the crowd after a show-stopping presentation for his Spring/Summer 2025 collection. In collaboration with Cirque du Soleil, the KidSuper show kept everyone’s attention for half an hour, defying conventions and taking high flying risks.

Committing to an artistic vision unlike any other, Dillane puts on a theatrical show, continuing to bring all the drama by bridging performing arts in fashion. Putting on a show of sorts has become Dillane’s signature when it comes to his runways. Never one to stick to traditions, he creates a whole storyline and narrative to captivate his audiences. Merging the world of circus and drama, the collection emphasizes that great art is rarely created in isolation.

The performance saw a stunning display of acrobatics and a scene set by Alton Mason, who opened the show as a marionette as he makes his way around the stage. Every model walked out as a different circus character, including one on stilts and a headless attraction. Each of the models wore a selection of the brand’s latest pieces featuring signature styles filled with bold colors and an eclectic set of prints and patchwork leather. Diving into cropped silhouettes made popular during the early 2000s style, the overacrhing theme sees KidSuper pinpoint the complex relationships that define our relationships. The collection also features special co-branded KidSuper and Cirque du Soleil products. Each of hte pieces reflect the multi-dimensional layer of KidSuper’s universe, spanning across, fashion, performance and visual art.
