As the week in music comes to a close, Hypebeast has rounded up the best projects for the latest installment of Best New Tracks.

This week’s lineup is led by Charli xcx x Lorde and Post Malone x Blake Shelton, who released the collabs “The girl, so confusing version with lorde” and “Pour Me A Drink,” respectively. Also joining this selection are offerings from 6LACK, RÜFÜS DU SOL, Kronos Quartet & Friends, Jay Worthy with DāM-FunKk, Kali Uchis, Jaden, Kehlani and Suki Waterhouse.

Charli xcx x Lorde – “The girl, so confusing version with lorde”

Charli xcx and Lorde put their “feud” to bed with “The girl, so confusing version with lorde.” A remix of the cut on Charli’s critically-acclaimed album BRAT, the heartfelt cut hears the pair clear the air while raising each other up — an important move in a space that normally sees two women getting pitted against each other.

Post Malone x Blake Shelton – “Pour Me A Drink”

No matter the occasion, Post Malone and Blake Shelton will always want to pop open a cold one. In their country collab “Pour Me A Drink,” the two open up about how any issue can be solved and any major highlights can be celebrated with a drink in their hand.

6LACK – “F*ck The Rap Game”

6LACK takes the gloves off in his newest single, “F*ck The Rap Game.” The four-minute cut hears him open up about his thoughts on the industry, as well as his journey as a human being. “I came into the industry before the streaming era, and I’ve witnessed a lot of change since then. Over the last few years there seems to be a lot more moments where it feels like being an artist is about everything besides the actual music,” he says in a statement. “I consider myself very fortunate to do what I love for a living. But I say f*ck the rap ‘game’ because that’s the part I don’t love. The part that has nothing to do with artistic expression and makes being an artist feel like a job. This song is a personal reflection about distractions within the music industry that detract from what this art form was created for. I’m distancing myself from the politics and reminding myself what my purpose is within the genre.”

RÜFÜS DU SOL is back with “Music is Better,” the Australian trio’s first new music since their 2021 GRAMMY-nominated album Surrender. The cut, which was premiered during their headlining DJ set at Coachella, “captures the themes of hope, intimacy, and connection that have long defined the RÜFÜS universe” and offers a peak into their expansive sound.

The 13-track effort features guest appearances from from Jill Scott, Young Miko and Omah Lay, with the artist stating, “A crash, in any form, is the peak height of the moment.
