James Gunn Reveals Official Look at David Corenswet in the 'Superman' Suit
Giving fans a glimpse of the Man of Steel.
James Gunn has debuted the official look of the new Superman suit.
Taking to Instagram to share a first look at the star David Corenswet as the new Man of Steel, it gives fans an early glimpse of what to expect in the upcoming DC Universe. At initial glance, fans may notice that the suit is quite tattered and weathered, suggesting that there has been plenty of fighting scenes involving Superman. Gunn states on Threads, “The above photo was taken on set by Jess Miglio and was entirely in-camera.”
This will be the first time Corenswet will lead a major Hollywood tentpole film. He is best known for his supporting roles in Ryan Murphy’s Netflix series, The Politician and Hollywood. Rachel Brosnahan plays Lois Lane while Nicholas Hoult is slated to play the villain Lex Luthor. Other cast members include Skyler Gisondo (Jimmy Olsen), Anthony Carrigan (Metamorpho), Edi Gathegi (Mister Terrific), Nathan Fillion (Guy Gardner) and Isabela Merced (Hawkgirl).
Superman is set to open in theaters from July 11, 2025.
