The brand’s signature Malibu Sleaze Trucker hat returns in six colorways that embody California beach culture, with names lifted from ‘surf rat’ lingo and ocean terminology.
Featuring a distressed treatment, the Malibu Sleaze Trucker transforms the effortless, post-beach sexiness into a daily accessory. The summer-ready colors are an ode to universal experiences– the cooling breeze on sun-crisped skin or the warm of sand after a swim– and a voyeuristic look into coming-of-age on the West Coast. Campaign videos capture the youth and freedom unlocked through long hours bumming on the beach, hanging at the Malibu Country Mart and partying in friends’ parents’ houses with private beach access.
Pushing his design language, founder Ace Aroff innovates upon classic California comfort with chic, contemporary styling. To accompany the new colorways and website, Aroff is introducing new brand muses like Evan, an 18 year old ‘surf rat’ from the Jersey Shore. Following a pre-New York Fashion Week party with Shiny Toy Guns and Princess Superstar, ACE will continue its partnership with emcee on upcoming releases for this season.
