VILLAZAN introduces Ryol’s debut solo exhibition in Madrid, titled Polah, featuring a series of works that capture the energetic movements of limbs, expressed by the Javanese term “Polah,” which signifies the playful and mischievous acts of both children and adults.

Inspired by impressionism and popular culture, Ryol transforms reality into imaginative pieces, blending elements from anime and cubism to depict everyday activities with a surreal twist. The exhibition, running from March 21 to April 13, showcases the nostalgia of the 90s generation and invites viewers to contemplate the intersection of reality and imagination.

Meanwhile, at VLAB, the duo exhibition From Indonesia with Colors by Fajar Amali and Oggzgoy unveils new artworks never seen before. Amali, influenced by Duchamp and Williams, presents “Habitat and Pride,” creating symbolic spaces bridging past and future, while Oggzgoy, inspired by street art, explores themes of freedom and constraint through vibrant narratives.

The exhibition runs until April 6th, offering a glimpse into the diverse artistic expressions emerging from Indonesia.
