Rina Sawayama Features CHANMINA in a New “This Hell” Remix
A Spotify Singles release.
Rina Sawayama has just released a whole new remix of “This Hell” featuring Japanese rapper, CHANMINA.
The original “This Hell” track was featured in Hold the Girl, the second studio album by Sawayama, which was recorded during the pandemic. Less than a day ago, Rina Sawayama teased on her Instagram a glimpse of the new remix track. While fans pondered whether this is a special release to commemorate the track’s anniversary, it’s now confirmed as an entirely separate project.

“This Hell (feat. CHANMINA – Gyarupi Remix – Spotify Singles)” is part of Spotify’s GLOW, an equity program that aims to shine a light on its LGBTQIA+ creators. The track is also a core release to accompany the new PRIDE CODE podcast, which stars both CHANMINA and Rina Sawayama as guests for its first two episodes.
Uncannily, at CHANMINA’s AREA OF DIAMOND 2 concert last month, she told Hypebeast in an exclusive interview that Rina Sawayama is someone she’s been meaning to collaborate with. Fast forward to now in just a little over a month, the two powerful female musicians have partnered up, united over shared values and a passion for self-expression.
Rina Sawayama’s “This Hell (feat. CHANMINA – Gyarupi Remix – Spotify Singles)” is now exclusively avaiable to stream on Spotify.
