G-SHOCK Introduces New Digital Basic Step Tracker Series
Constructed with shock resistance, Bluetooth integration, a motion-sensing accelerometer and more.
G-SHOCK has pulled back the curtain on its latest sensor technology innovation: the Digital Basic GDB500 series, a watch group built with step trackers and Bluetooth capabilities for elevated fitness experiences.
More casually known as the “Digital Basic Step Tracker Series,” the watches feature an all-new case design defined by a sleek profile and octagonal watch face. Available in neon green, gray, black and white colorways, the four timepieces boast an angular shape that’s been “meticulously crafted to avoid interference with the back of the hand,” per the brand.
The Digital Basic series employs a motion-sensing accelerometer that accurately tracks steps. Their wearers can view their daily step totals and track progress toward specified targets on the devices’ three-tiered LCD screens. Additionally, Bluetooth technology allows for seamless time correction via smartphone.
The watches arrive with an adjustable band that extends from 145 mm to 200 mm. The GDB500 resides within a glass fiber-reinforced resin case, which ensures the design’s durability. Further enhancing their sturdiness, the timepieces are equipped with shock resistance that connects the bezel, the case and the band connectors.
