Balenciaga to Release Special Pieces With Debut Ginza Store

Balenciaga is continuing to spread its reach around the globe with its debut store in Ginza, Tokyo. But to mark the occasion, the brand is releasing a range of special pieces.

To welcome the store, Balenciaga is releasing collaborative home goods alongside limited-edition apparel. On the home goods front, Balenciaga united with local store Finza Kuroda Toen to produce limited-edition ceramic bowls and bases. In the same vein, the brand also linked up with Toraya for Japanese sweets. However, the highlight of the special goods is the exclusive Balenciaga Ginza series which includes tees and hoodies with the Tokyo Tower alongside T-shirt dresses and special TRIPLE S “Ginza Tokyo” sneakers. To round out the series, the brand also tossed up a gray colorway of the LE CITY M bag.

To craft the debut Ginza store in the rebuilt TORAYA Ginza Building, Balenciaga looked to a “Raw Architecture” concept. With an environmentally conscious focus, the store maintained some of the excavated details alongside special glass treatments. Spanning three floors, the space is set to include menswear and womenswear ready-to-wear pieces alongside accessories.
