Coming off the reveal of its official partnership with the Netherlands Olympic and Paralympic team, DENHAM continues on its mission to prove that denim can be worn in every setting with the release of the Black Kinetic Denim collection.

Originally engineered by the brand for the respective Olympians, Kinetic Denim is an innovative reimagination of the traditionally heavyweight fabric, introducing a new comfort-focused quality to denim. Its innovative hybrid blend features 6oz denim and aerogel yarns to create breathable thermo-regulation functionality. In its debut release, the material is crafted into a clean-cut jacket and slim-fit jeans, both of which the team will wear at the 2024 opening and closing ceremonies.

For the new Black edition, the brand explores how the performance-focused material can be refined and elevated for everyday wearability. As explained by DENHAM’s head of design Salvatore Aloisi, the new line features a “reinvention signature denim silhouettes with a modern outlook, working with the new innovative fabric, technical features, and special details.”

With this in mind, the collection delivers a set of knee-length shorts and tapered trousers. In contrast with the tailored cuts of the pieces, the designs feature technical belt waistbands and various pockets as well as an embroidered logo in orange. Supplementing the limited-edition Kinetic Denim garments are premium T-shirts and hoodies, arriving with back prints featuring the Olympic team’s values.

To support the launch of the new collection, DENHAM collaborates with Dutch stylist Tirino Yspol on a dynamic new campaign. Shot by Ferris Osseiran, the visuals share a close-up of the garments against the industrial architecture of Amsterdam town Zuidoost. Find the new campaign featured in the gallery above.
