Kiko Kostadinov To Open Its Inaugural Flagship Store in Tokyo
Comprising a “salon” and gallery concept.

Kiko Kostadinov is gearing up for the opening of his flagship in the heart of Tokyo. Located in the bustling district of Shibuya, the new store also marks the label’s first-ever permanent brick-and-mortar location.
Boasting a fresh retail concept, the store also serves as a physical embodiment and extension of Kiko Kostadinov’s forward-thinking ideals. Designed by Yusuke Seki, an award-winning Japanese architect, the store will feature two components, comprising “The Salon” and an ever-evolving gallery concept.
Synonymous with Seki’s signature approach in embracing and recontextualizing existing architecture with minimalistic cues, “The Salon” is described by the brand as “a carefully considered open vessel that is conducive to version-hood and transformation.”
As for the gallery element, the store will work with artists to elevate the space in an engaging and immersive manner. To kick off the gallery concept, the store invites American artist and filmmaker, Ryan Trecartin to present a two-part visual narrative installation. The first part, entitled “pending place” will exist as a production proxy that mirrors the current phase of the store building.
The inaugural Kiko Kostadinov Tokyo Flagship store will offer menswear, womenswear, accessories, handbags, footwear as well as special releases and will officially be opened on March 23, 2024.
