Instagram Working On “Blend” Reels Feature for Users To Share Personalized Feed
The recommended content will be based on Reels shared between two users and their interests.

Instagram is currently working on a “Blend” feature for Reels that will allow users and a friend to scroll through a personalized Reels feed.
The platform confirmed to TechCrunch that the tool “is an internal prototype and is not being tested externally,” after reverse engineer Alessandro Paluzzi shared the news on X. Paluzzi uploaded a screenshot that invites users to “Blend,” which will include “Reels recommendations based on Reels you’ve shared with each other and your Reels interests.” The photo also noted that the “Blend” is private between two users and that they can leave at any time.
A possible beta testing phase or release date were not confirmed by Meta/Instagram.
Earlier this March, Paluzzi also uncovered the beta testing of a new Reels feature called “Spins,” which will “Allow people to swap out text or audio in your Reel. For every spin added, you will reach their audience.”
