Dolly Parton Hints at Beyoncé's Cover of "Jolene"
Rumors claim that Bey’s version of Parton’s hit 1973 song will join ‘RENAISSANCE: Act II.’
Beyoncé may be releasing her version of Dolly Parton‘s hit song “Jolene” very soon.
In a recent interview with Knox News, the country music legend shared the information she knew regarding Bey’s rumored song cover. “I think she’s recorded ‘Jolene’ and I think it’s probably gonna be on her country album, which I’m very excited about that,” Parton said. “I love her! She’s a beautiful girl and a great singer.”
The 78-year-old singer also revealed that she and Yonce have been in touch for a while now, “We’ve kind of sent messages back and forth through the years. And she and her mother were like fans, and I was always touched that they were fans, and I always thought she was great.”
Beyoncé herself has yet to confirm the rumors, which claim that her cover of “Jolene” will be part of her upcoming album RENAISSANCE: Act II — a country record which is scheduled to drop on March 29.
