Cowboy Launches 'Cross', its Latest All-Terrain E-Bike
Available now, featuring a 50% improved battery compared to previous models.

Cowboy has unveiled its latest e-bike, Cross, an “all-road” model built for both city roads and rougher terrain. With its latest release the Brussels-based brand has bucked the recent trend of e-bike companies going bust, instead doubling down with additions to its roster and moving forward on its mission to bring e-bike mobility to the masses – Cowboy, according to its co-founder and CEO Adrien Roose, is “leading the charge of this transport revolution.”
Cross is launching in two styles of frame, step-over and step-through, and each of these is available in three metallic, nature-inspired colors – ‘Lava’, ‘Mushroom’ and ‘Moss’. The bike stays true Cowboy’s design language and features a floating top tube along with a wire-free design and no visible welds that fans of the brand have come to know.
The new design isn’t just limited to the bike’s geometry, however. It features an inverted front fork with suspension that supports its all-road credentials, promising a smooth ride whether you’re peddling through potholes or decide to take a turn off the beaten track. There’s even suspension in the seat, further adding to the overall comfort riders can expect whilst riding Cross. New, wider 60mm tires add volume to the ride and help to tackle different types of terrain with ease. All in, the combined effects of these features promise to deliver Cowboy’s most comfortable ride to date.
One thing that set a Cowboy apart from similar e-bikes (such as Vanmoof) is its removable battery, and Cross is no different here. The battery can be removed and brought inside for both safe keeping and to be charged, a convenience that can’t be understated. The new battery on Cross, however, is improved and features 50% more power compared to the batteries found on Cowboy’s existing Classic and Cruiser bikes. Cowboy claims this new 540Wh battery has a range of 60-120 kilometers (around 37-75 miles), varying based on how you use the bike as well as external conditions like temperature, wind and terrain. It can be charged to full in just three hours, too, which is pretty fast by e-bike battery standards.
Cowboy has introduced some new bike health and security features with Cross, too. These includes a brand new proprietary feature its calling “Check My Bike”, a diagnostics tool that monitors your bike for issues and can self-diagnose any problems. “Find My Bike” is also present on Cross, along with “Share My Ride” and “Predictive Alerts”, features users of previous Cowboy models will be familiar with.
Cross is available to purchase from March 20 via Cowboy’s website and stores, as well as select retail partners. The bikes are priced at €3999 EUR / £3599 GBP, though for a limited time can be ordered at an “early bird” price of €3,499 EUR / £3,099 GBP. There are no current US release plans.
