Louis Vuitton Names Victor Wembanyama Its Newest House Ambassador
The No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft makes his relationship with the French fashion house official.

French basketball player Victor Wembanyama is the latest face of Louis Vuitton.
The power-forward, nicknamed “Wemby,” has signed on as an official ambassador for the French house, joining a growing roster of prominent athletes that presently includes tennis stars Carlos Alcaraz and Naomi Osaka, skier Eileen Gu, swimmer Leon Marchand and fencer Enzo Lefort. In his new role, Wembanyama will represent the brand at key events and appear in the label’s promotional imagery.
“Striving for excellence and with a perpetual honing of craft, Victor joins Louis Vuitton on a journey of shared values and aligned ambitions. Like Louis Vuitton himself, the young athlete has blazed a trail, excelling in a career that is only just beginning,” the French luxury house wrote in a statement.
Wembanyama was selected as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft by the San Antonio Spurs. He appeared at the draft in a dark green suit from Louis Vuitton, marking the beginning of his relationship with the legacy label.
Since joining the Spurs, Wembanyama has already set a number of records, and his jersey has become the No. 4 best-selling NBA item in the first half of the season, falling shortly behind the likes of Stephen Curry, Jayson Tatum and LeBron James, per WWD.
