Burberry has become the most anticipated show at London Fashion Week. Since his appointment, Daniel Lee has revamped British classics with fresh shapes, bold hues, and an alfresco aura — and we must say, he has succeeded. The UK designer held his third runway show to close London Fashion Week, returning to the capital’s iconic Victoria Park, which housed his previous collection in September. The star-studded affair was nothing short of a spectacle, welcoming genre-defining musicians, including Skepta, Little Simz, and Central Cee. Hollywood also shined bright, with Barry Keoghan and Jonathan Bailey in attendance among the crowd.

The tented venue was packed with green-tinted gravel that imitated growing grass, lined with oversized cushions plush like clouds. Lights dimmed in anticipation, igniting the Fall/Winter 2024 runway with Amy Winehouse’s “You Know I’m No Good” booming through the space as models strolled in fresh checkered prints and refined Burberry styles. Just like Spring/Summer 2024, Lee pulled inspiration from England’s unique natural environments, mixing his outdoor fascinations with a protective essence that keeps you safe and secure.

Coats were the name of the game for FW24, seeing Lee puff them up and shrink them down in trimmed fur, supple leather, and nylon finishes. The collection boasted an everyday feel, with looks transitioning from day to night across pinstriped suiting, sheer shirting, and strapless eveningwear. Recognizable city traits were punched in throughout, previewed across inflated bomber jackets, zippered cargo pants, frayed knitwear, and more. While Lee has become synonymous with Burberry check in blue, he debuted the pattern in musty browns, dim-lit yellows, and eccentric reds.

The designer’s limitless vision for Burberry continues to expand, proving that he might just be the one to change things up for the century-old titan. We must say, we like what we see. Do you?
