Roy Roger’s and Dave’s New York are set to release their expansive co-created collection this weekend. Originally premiered at Pitti Uomo in 2023 and officially announced in June of the same year, the collection brings together two workwear stalwarts — one an Italian brand founded in 1952, the other a New York City-based army/navy store turned workwear supplier that first threw open its doors in 1963, both under their third generation of family ownership.

A complete set of product photos — following last year’s lookbook release — shows the collection’s details off in full. Blending workwear styling with elevated Italian materials, the offerings supply hardiness and craftsmanship in equal measure, thanks to a product slate that encompasses jackets, fleece hoodies and crewnecks, T-shirts and an array of carpenter pants and shorts with hammer loops and tool pockets. Key motifs include jacquard demin (all woven by artisanal craftspeople on a century-old loom) and a slate of tie-dye goods, all dyed and dried by hand, one color at a time, to ensure each is unique.

It’s not just notable prints and patterns here, however: several “easter egg”-style details are thrown in for low-key nods to the history of both parties. Jackets nod to some of the earliest Roy Roger’s designs with zippers and buttons inspired by the hardware used on the company’s goods in the ’50s (the buttons even feature an intentionally weathered finish for a salute to how buttons were originally hammered onto clothes). The collection’s graphic T-shirts feature back graphics that salute hand-drawn newspaper ads that Dave’s New York ran in the ’80s as well as details from Roy Roger’s ads and product packaging from the ’50s.

“We’re excited to launch the Roy Roger’s x Dave’s New York Spring ‘24 collab,” says Dave’s New York owner Adam Levy. “It’s been a year in the making, and we could not be more excited and proud of the collection that was produced.”

Expect the entire collection to drop at Dave’s New York in NYC (581 6th Ave) on Saturday, February 24, with a launch event from 11 AM to 3PM that features complementary custom embroidery. The collection will also touch down via the Dave’s New York webstore at the same time, with international shipping available.
