The North Face Unveils Newest Steep Tech RMST Capsule
Encapsulating Scot Schmidt’s unique approach to Freeskiing.

The North Face has just unveiled the fourth chapter of its Steep Tech RMST series — and it takes a page out of the original designs that were created in 1991 to encapsulate The North Face athlete Scot Schmidt’s unique approach to Freeskiing.
As a whole, the collection embodies The North Face’s future-facing approach to technical ski kit through the lens of RMST, applying The North Face’s best-in-class technology and fits to create a slew of looks that align with both performance and streetwear.
Much like the original 1991 Steep Tech line — which was designed in partnership with Schmidt — The North Face’s new RMST capsule offers a melange of products that a ready to hit the slopes, while they’re also just as prepared for life navigating the inner-city.
Highlights from the drop come in the form of the RMST Steep Tech Nuptse Jacket and the pocket-heavy RMST Steep Tech Bomb Shell Jacket, while the Steep Tech Men’s Heavyweight Short Sleeve Relaxed Tee is hit with a slew of customary branding and raised stitched detailing.
Meanwhile, a heavyweight hoodie is also included in the collection and the RMST Steep Tech Recycled 66 Hat is included in a blacked-out color scheme with heavy-duty fabrications designed to protect wearers against heavy rain and wind.
You can take a closer look at the new RMST collection from The North Face above and it’ll be available to shop via The North Face’s official website and in select retail locations from February 20.
