Meet the Eight 2024 LVMH Prize Finalists

Update: The LVMH Prize is perhaps one of the most coveted fashion awards in the industry for emerging designers. Almost appearing as a success guarantee, the prize has seen past recipients like Casablanca, S.S. Daley, Peter Do, Marine Serre, Wales Bonner and more. Now, the conglomerate has revealed its 2024 LVMH Prize Finalists.

The semifinalists and now finalists were selected from a pool of 2,500 candidates. Hailing from places like Ireland, the Netherlands, the United States, Belgium and more, the nine finalists are Aubero, Duran Lantink, Hodakova, Marie Adam-Leenaerdt, Niccolò Pasqualetti, Paolo Carzana, Pauline Dujancourt and Standing Grond.

Previously, the Prize has included the focal LVMH Prize and the runner-up Karl Lagerfeld Prize. But for the first time, the award will also include another entitled the Savoir-Faire Prize. The finalists are set to present their collections on September 10 at the Louis Vuitton Foundation.

Original Story: Among the fashion awards, fellowships and grants in the industry, the LVMH Prize remains the creme of the crop. Whether known already or not, each year the prize sets up the winning label and the runner-ups with enhanced skills and sustained success. In gearing up for the next edition, the luxury conglomerate has revealed the semifinalists for its 2024 LVMH Prize.

Hailing from around the world from places like South Korea, Brazil, the Netherlands, Mexico, the United States and more, this year’s semifinalists see 20 names that span menswear, womenswear and genderless designs. The semi-finalists are Agbobly, Aubero, Campillo, Chiahung Su, Duran Lantink, Elena Velez, Fidan Novruzova, Hodakova, Jiyongkim, Karoline Vitto, Khoki, Marie Adam-Leenaerdt, Niccolò Pasqualetti, Paolo Carzana, Pauline Dujancourt, Ponder.er, Standing Ground, Vautrait, Who Decides War and Ya Yi.

The recipient of the focal LVMH Prize will receive a €400,0000 (EUR) grant alongside a year of mentorship from the LVMH team. The runner-up Karl Lagerfeld Prize comes with €200,0000 (EUR) and one year of mentorship as well. Additionally, this year introduced the new Savoir-Faire Prize which includes €200,0000 (EUR) and a year of mentorship focusing on technical expertise and innovation, sustainability and exceptional craftsmanship.
