Experience The Relaxing Life of a Hobbit in Upcoming 'Tales of the Shire' Video Game
Like ‘Stardew Valley,’ but set in The Shire.
Wētā Workshop, the SFX company behind Peter Jackson‘s Middle-earth films, and developer Private Division unveiled the first official trailer of its upcoming sim game, Tales of the Shire.
Set to release this year, Tales of the Shire will allow players to experience a Sauron-free life as a Hobbit. Experience the everyday (calm) life of a Hobbit as you forge friendships with neighbors, decorate your own Hobbit hole, tend your garden, go fishing and explore the wonders of the village of Bywater.
“Create your own Hobbit as you set forth in Bywater. Though not yet established as an official village in Hobbiton, play a big part in helping the quaint town flourish,” Private Division wrote on the game’s official website. “Unwind in the place where what matters most are all the little things. Help bring the community together to achieve village status in Bywater.”
