Seiko’s Newest Presage Classic Wristwatches Exude Gentle Vintage Appeal
Inspired by cream-colored silk.
After release the of a duo of “Japanese Zen Garden” timepieces, Seiko returns with another two new additions to its elegant Presage Classic series. Inspired by Japan’s rich silk history, the new timepieces feature dials reminiscent of the soft texture of silk. Presented in a “Shiro-Iro’” off-white hue, the dials are enhanced with gold accents, embodying timeless grace under dual-curve sapphire glass.
The SPB480J1 model showcases an open-heart design, while the SPB478J1 features a classic design. Evoking a gentle vintage mood, both models balance beauty and function with a curved dial, leaf-style hands and indices. The seven-piece, multi-row bracelet, inspired by retro 1970s metal bands, is designed for comfort and elegance, allowing smooth, fluid movement.
Powered by Seiko’s in-house 6R55 movement, these watches include a date function at 3 o’clock and a 72-hour power reserve. Prices range from £900 – £1,050 GBP (approx. $1,148 – $1,340 USD), both are now available for pre-order via Seiko’s official webstore.
