Hypebeast is proud to present our latest partnership with Meta Quest. Together we’ll be exploring the everyday dynamics and passions of tight-knit duos in our space, looking at how their relationship and interests have evolved over the years and how they use the immersive power of the Meta Quest to get more into what they’re into.

In our first episode, we sit down with international footballer Kobbie Mainoo, and his brother, model and reality star, Jordan Mainoo-Hames. Reminiscing on brotherhood, from heartwarming memories of family vacations to ongoing competitive rivalries, Jordan highlights that one of his proudest moments was being at the stadium during the EUROs and watching his brother become the youngest player ever to represent England in the semi-finals of a major tournament.

They talk about living so prominently in the public eye and how this shared experience has actually made them closer as brothers. “We live high-pressured lives, but when we come home, it’s a safe space and we can just wind down,” Jordan says, and with the pair now living together back in their home city of Manchester, “it feels like a full circle moment.”

With a 10-year age gap between them, Kobbie has always looked to his older sibling for advice. From being his style inspiration to receiving life guidance, dealing with the pressures of fame require a level of support only a select few can give. “I’ve learned a lot from [Jordan] because he’s been in the public eye for a while now. It definitely helps in the football space because you’re always dealing with the media.”

Despite taking different paths, both brothers recognise the importance of meaningful downtime to help them unwind and relax, away from their demanding careers. Whether it’s turning any space into a giant immersive screen or connecting over hyper-realistic gaming simulations, they point to the Meta Quest 3S as the perfect piece of kit to help them unwind, relax and get more into what they’re into.

Both Kobbie and Jordan prioritise mental well-being. In the film we see how they use the Headspace XR app — a virtual playground that offers offers subscribers a range of experiences from mood-boosting games to one-on-one guided meditations. Here they’re able to release stress and truly relax. Jordan finds the breathwork exercises in Headspace XR particularly effective. “The recovery is just as important to make sure that your body is ready for the next game or training session,” he explains. “With breath working, I’ve been able to have better relationships with people around me and be more present.”

Check out the exclusive campaign with Kobbie Mainoo and Jordan Mainoo-Hames above. Watch them reminisce over a game of Eleven Table Tennis, practice inner peace with Headspace XR and kickback to stream shows on a giant, immersive, mixed-reality screen.
