Amazon MGM’s adaptation premieres June 2026.

Jared Leto is set to play Skeletor in Amazon MGM’s live-action Masters of the Universe film.
Variety adds that director Travis Knight has also landed Sam C. Wilson, Kojo Attah and Hafthor Bjornsson as Trap Jaw, Tri-Klops and Goat Man — some of Skeletor’s henchmen. They join the previously-announced cast of Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn, Camila Mendes as Teela and Idris Elba as Man-at-Arms.
Details of the upcoming adaptation remain under wraps, but reports state that Skeletor and his henchmen could utilize motion-capture CGI.
Chris Butler penned the script while Escape Artists and Mattel Films are producing.
The live-action Masters of the Universe film is set to release on June 5, 2026.
