Snow Peak Is Upgrading Its Iconic Titanium Mug Line for 2025
With improved heat and cold retention, increased resistance to condensation and more.
Snow Peak proffers a cornucopia of outdoor goods and apparel, but few of its products are as instantly recognizable as its signature titanium, double-wall vacuum mugs. And in 2025, those already-handy mugs will be getting a few notable upgrades, namely an improved temperature retention system that’ll keep beverages either hot or cool for an extended period, increased resistance to condensation and a rim that stays cooler when the user is enjoying a hot drink.
Though Snow Peak has been working with titanium since the early ’60s, shortly after it was founded by Yukio Yamai in 1958 — and produces its titanium goods in Tsubame-Sanjo, a town with an extensive metalworking history that’s located in Niigata prefecture, where Snow Peak hails from — the brand is constantly tinkering with its products in search of perfection. In 2023, Snow Peak announced that its titanium mugs would be produced through a new method that eliminated the need for chemical manufacturing processes, and past upgrades have also included lighter handles, a more streamlined silhouette and plastic-free packaging. Despite all these upgrades, the mugs have also retained all of their key features like stackability that allows for easy transport and, of course, their sturdy double-wall construction.
The upgraded Snow Peak mugs will be available in early 2025.
