BAPE's SS25 Collection Blends Prep and Rave Subcultures

For Spring/Summer 2025, A BATHING APE explores the contrasts of Y2k raver culture and traditional prep through the classic symbols of BAPE. The Japanese label’s expansive collection celebrates bold expression with expressive club-inspired styles and subverts marks of exclusivity with its spin on Ivy League fashions.
Wild reinterpretations of BAPE’s signature camouflage appear in the rave-themed section of the line, including tracksuits, sports jerseys, camp collar shirts, and washed denim pieces. Map camouflage print utilizes the shapes of the continents of the world combined with a sprayed APE face, while a palm tree camo combines the silhouettes of palm trees with tiger stripes. Bold vintage touches like printed flames, silver studs, and retro BAPE graphics add to the urban party aesthetic.
Elsewhere, the prep inspirations come to life with collegiate jackets, camp-collar shirt and shorts sets, jacquard logo sweaters, and pared-back tonal BAPE sweats. Standing out is a brown varsity-style bomber jacket covered with a triangular BAPE monogram, that evokes a luxury fashion house motif. The backside of the coat is finished collegiate letter appliques and a regal BAPE seal.
Overall the collection offers a wide range of versatile Summer styles that are easily imaginable both at a kickback on the beach or a nighttime rave. The collection also has something in store for everyone offering styles for men, women, and kids.
BAPE’s Spring/Summer SS25 collection will be available from January 4, 2025, from the official A BATHING APE website and select retailers.
