Tesla has once again recalled its Cybertrucks, marking the sixth recall of 2024.

Impacting vehicles produced between November 2023 and July 2024, 2,431 Cybertrucks have been recalled, though only 1% are expected to have the defect, Jalopnik reported. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the inverter may stop producing torque, which would put the car to a standstill.

“If the inverter stops producing torque, the driver loses the ability to apply torque to the vehicle using the accelerator pedal resulting in a loss of propulsion, which may increase the risk of a collision,” Tesla wrote in its report.

The company said that while five warranty claims were filed, no accidents relating to the inverter had been reported. Tesla will begin replacing faulty inverters in December.
