French footwear brand, VEJA has linked up with Brazillian label, P. Andrade to present their first footwear collaboration.
Modeled after VEJA’s Fitz Roy hiking shoe, the collaborative offering features a multicolor appearance reminiscent of rock structures. This collage-like pattern is rendered onto the shoe’s entire upper, where a splash of muted blue compliments various earthy — a color palette inspired by the Amazon rainforest.
According to Pedro Andrade and Paula Kim, the duo behind P. Andrade, the inspiration behind the shoe’s design stems from their fascination with sealing systems. “We tested the shoe for the first time during an Amazon expedition and were impressed by its efficiency and beauty,” they said.
Aligning with both brands’ environmentally conscious philosophies and practices, the collaborative shoe features a midsole crafted of 52% sugarcane and 3% Amazonian rubber. Meanwhile, the outsole ensures protection from rugged terrains with a 31% Amazonian rubber material composition.
