For nanamica‘s third collaboration with Dr. Martens under the The North Face Purple Label, it is reimagining the shoe maker’s classic 101 boot with water-resistant features.
The 6-eyelet boots boasts a waterproof molded base that extends up to the mid-uppers and transitions to a soft nubuck leather with a water-resistant finish. nanamica combines The North Face Purple Label’s signature asphalt grey color with Dr. Marten’s classic black leather for a tonal look.
Purple shoelaces and heel loops provide a pop of color to the largely monochrome colorway. Hiker-esque design details like the D-ring embellishment and eyelets imbue the pair with an outdoor feel. A padded tongue and air-cushioned soles provide added comfort for use across different urban and outdoor conditions.
The North Face Purple Label x Dr. Martens 101 Sub Boot retails for approximately $250 USD (39,600 JPY) and is set for release on October 18 at nanamica‘s locations and web store, Dr. Martens‘ web store and Tokyo showroom, and select North Face boutiques.
