As reported by Watchpro, the Rolex London flagship has delayed its opening. Previously slated to open in 2023, the store is now looking at a much later completion date sometime in 2025.

Back in 2022, the Watches of Switzerland Group announced its plans to relocate the Rolex boutique in London. Formerly located on Bond Street, the old boutique was primely situated in the prestigious neighborhood that has been the home of many upmarket brands and retailers since the Victorian era.

The new address for Rolex’s upcoming flagship is a few minutes walk on the same street, but it will take over a much larger store space spanning three floors and 7,200 square feet of space. Formerly occupied by Gucci as its flagship, the retail location is primely situated next to the likes of notable luxury watch brands such as Jaeger LeCoultre, Vacheron Constantin, and A. Lange & Söhne. The store space will be designed by Rolex Geneva with the help of the Watches of Switzerland Group, where its main emphasis will be on presenting the brand’s history and client hospitality.

The flagship was originally planned to open its doors in 2023, but delays ensued following complications relating to the building’s basement. As noted by Watchpro, Brian Duffy, the CEO of Watches of Switzerland Group had noted that the aforementioned issue “would push the project’s completion date back to next year.”
