Intel-Powered MSI Claw Handheld Gaming Console Unveiled at CES 2024
A competitor to the AMD chip consoles on the market now.




With the AMD-powered ASUS ROG Ally, Lenovo Legion Go, and Steam Deck already available, MSI is looking to disrupt the handheld gaming market. At CES 2024, MSI unveiled the “Claw,” an Intel-powered competitor coming to the portable PC section of gaming.
The MSI Claw features a 7-inch full HD LCD screen with 500 nits of brightness and a 120Hz refresh rate that seamlessly works with chassis design, button layout, and fingerprint sensors. The internals hold either an Intel Core Ultra 7 or Core Ultra 5 chip with Intel’s integrated Arc graphics and drivers.
The console also features a Thunderbolt 4 port, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4 support. Drawing power from a 53Whr battery and is cooled by mesh vents at the rear for comfortable gaming.
While the release date is currently unclear, the MSI Claw is priced at $699 USD for a Core Ultra 5 chip, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage configuration. While $749 USD will get you a Core Ultra 7 CPU and $799 USD bumps the memory up to 1TB SSD.
