Gabriela Hearst is approaching one decade in business at her namesake label (she launched the brand in 2015, so next year will be the big celebration). Nine years in, her codes are strong; and in menswear, particularly, they fall outside the blazed trail to embrace sophistication in a bevy of inventive materials.

For Fall/Winter 2024, Hearst’s overcoats are cut thin and sharp, in bright cream tones and dark black hues alike. Their underlayers typically consist of sheer button-downs and straight, pleated trousers. The outlier, however, is an all-leather take on the silhouette, which highlights the human form with slimmer proportions. Nonetheless, Hearst’s fixation on suavity is clear.

Viewing the collection’s lookbook makes you want to feel each of the designer’s textile experiments. There are formal shirts made with soft, red velvet materials; body-hugging cable-knit sweaters built with thick yarns; evening shirts constructed with feathered details, and zip-up hoodies composed of plush cashmere, with shirts to match. Amidst all the statements, there are just as many blazers, tops and bottoms that add to the signature Hearst uniform, which expertly spans a spectrum from flashy gold trousers to refined slim scarves.

See Gabriela Hearst’s Fall/Winter 2024 menswear collection in the gallery above, and stay tuned to Hypebeast for more coverage from the season.
