Apple's $3.5k USD Vision Pro Is Now Open for Pre-Orders
The first batch of orders will ship on February 2.
Those waiting for the past six months to get their hands on the Apple Vision Pro will finally be able to submit their orders. The device is open for pre-order for $3,499 USD and will begin shipping on February 2.
Billed as the world’s first “spatial computer,” the Vision Pro mads its debut at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference in June 2023. Apple described the headset as “the first operating system designed from the ground up for spatial computing.”
Since its announcement, the company has continued building out the Vision Pro, working with developers in-house and third-party developers to build hundreds of thousands of apps for the immersive headset.
When placing an order for the Vision Pro, users will have to take their measurements to determine the fit of the headband and the Light Seal that secures the headset around their eyes. Those who wear glasses will have the option to add in “optical inserts” in the form of magnifying readers or a regular prescription, for which Apple has teamed up with optical lens maker ZEISS.
The standard $3,699 USD model of the Vision Pro comes with 256GB, but Apple is also selling a $3,699 USD version with 512GB and $3,899 USD model with 1TB. Each order comes with the Vision Pro itself, a headband and the battery pack, which, for now, has to stay attached to the device when in use. It also ships with a charger, a cover for the Light Seal and a protective case.
Interested users can place their pre-orders for the Apple Vision Pro on the Apple website.
