The Weeknd Celebrates 10 Years of 'Kiss Land' With New Merch Drop
Enlisting Roots and Superplastic for a commemorative capsule.
In celebration of the 10th anniversary of The Weeknd‘s debut studio album, Kiss Land, the Canadian recording artist has officially announced a commemorative capsule. Taking notes from the iconic era, the capsule leans on Kiss Land motifs, enlisting Canadian brand Roots for a collection varsity jackets, tees, fleece and hats alongside a limited run of collectible throw pillows, a hand tufted rug and a collection Superplastic toys.
The varsity jacket and apparel pieces feature the “XO Record” branding synonymous with The Weeknd. Additionally, Japanese anime motifs adorn the pieces and are also the underlying style for the three premium vinyl figures that arrive in green, black and red. The green figure is ready for purchase, however the red and black ones are sold as blind boxes. The merch products commemorate the 10 year anniversary in Japanese. Since the release of the album, The Weeknd has become the world’s most popular artist, according to the Guinness World Records.
The collection is available starting on September 10 at 12 p.m. EST at The Weeknd. Take a look at what to expect above.
