While Medicom Toy is known for its vast collaborations with global brands through its BE@RBRICK line, it’s tapping the Japanese homegrown label NEIGHBORHOOD (NBHD) for its latest release, alongside streetwear brand Emotionally Unavailable.

This cross-industry alliance symbolizes a blend of contemporary art, fashion and pop culture, presented in an understated high gloss black collectible that is decorated to represent a shooting range target.

Since stepping onto the scene in 2001, BE@RBRICKs have become pop culture icons, encapsulating an intriguing blend of art and toy collectibles, generally at an attainable price point. With their distinctive design and collaborative editions, they’ve become coveted items among collectors, artists and pop culture enthusiasts.

In this particular example, Medicom has tapped Emotionally Unavailable and NBHD, as they stand as exemplary entities in the fashion realm. Emotionally Unavailable, known for its avant-garde designs and emotive narrative, adds a layer of modern-day fashion storytelling to the collaboration. Simultaneously, Neighborhood, a revered Japanese streetwear brand, infuses a rugged and urban essence that is designed to resonate with the youth.

The jet black shooting range target-styled BE@RBRICK is set to release in 100%, 400% and 1000% sizes starting October 7 via Medicom Toy’s official site as well as at select NBHD stores, including its Harajuku location. Notable design elements include co-branding at the back of each figure as well as an illuminating Emotionally Unavailable heart in the chest of the toy — presumably only in the 1000% example.

Medicom Toy shared that the 100% and 400% will be released as a set for ¥30,800 Yen or $206 USD, with the 1000% example to be released separately for ¥140,800 Yen or $942 USD.
