EA Sports FC 24 Unveils Top 25 Rated Players, Mixes Men and Women for the First Time
With Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi both missing out on top-five placements.
EA Sports has officially revealed the top-rated men’s and women’s players included in the latest edition of its flagship football game and the very first edition to bear the new name: FC 24.
After ending its long-running partnership with FIFA last year, EA Sports has now kicked off its new FC era with an overhauled rating system that gives players an ability rank out of 100, while also aligning individual players with special talents and playing styles.
Much like the final edition of the FIFA era, the highest player rating in the FC 24 base game is 91, which is shared by four players. Over the past decade, FIFA has been dominated by world-famous ballers, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. However, Messi has just missed out on a place in the top five players, while Ronaldo slips out of the top 24 altogether as a wave of fresh and emerging talent begins to disrupt the once-established order.
Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe is the highest-ranked player alongside former female Spain captain, Alexia Putellas and Manchester City duo Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne.
Other players to receive the same rating of 90 include Lionel Messi, Harry Kane, and Polish striker, Robert Lewandowski. Australian star Sam Kerr, Belgian keeper Thibaut Courtois, Norwegian winger Caroline Graham Hansen, and French striker Karim Benzema also share the rating.
EA is set to reveal the ratings of other EA FC 24 players over the coming days, continuing with players from the English Premier League and Women’s FA Super League. For now, check out the 25 highest-ranked players below:
