YouTuber, Cody Detwiler aka WhistlinDiesel, known for his outrageous automotive stunts, is back at it again, this time with a 707 hp Dodge Challenger Hellcat, monstrously converted into a boat. This latest video comes just ten days after the YouTuber shared an accident that resulted in his Ferrari F8 being reduced to ashes.

The Hellcat in question is the very same that Detwiler fixed buggy wheels to in 2021, resulting in over 20 million views to date. Since that video, the vehicle, which retails at a starting price of roughly $70,000 USD has undergone intense experimentation, including most recently its transition to a boat.

To make his wild fantasy a reality, Detwiler and his team replaced the standard wheels and tires with 6-foot aluminum “wheels” that he said were created in partnership with Fitment Industries — whether or not that was a joke to ease into the ad delivery hasn’t been confirmed.

Nonetheless, these waterwheels were put to work, with the vehicle placed on top of what appeared to be a pontoon boat platform, with the wheels and attached wooden paddles powering the boat similar to the movement of a steamboat paddle wheel. The voyage came complete with a christening that left the front fender massively dented.

That wouldn’t be the extent of the brutality this Hellcat received, however, as Detwiler and his crew took the vehicle to the tarmac and ran down the aluminum waterwheels until they were crushed into spheres, followed by the presence of a fire truck, just to make sure they wouldn’t burn this one down too.

Love him or hate him, the YouTuber’s channel has certainly found great success, be it as a result of curiosity or entertainment, boasting over 6 million subscribers following along to see what he’ll do next.
