Supreme Releases 'PIGGY' Skate Video
Filmed in Seoul to celebrate the opening of the brand’s new store.
After throwing open the doors to its Seoul store earlier in the month, Supreme has released PIGGY, a new skate film, to commemorate their first Asian flagship outside of Japan. Filmed by longtime Supreme videographer William Strobeck as well as Johnny Wilson and Alex Greenberg, PIGGY takes place exclusively in Seoul and is filmed almost entirely in black-and-white.
Though PIGGY clocks in at a succinct 13:14 — Strobeck’s videos for Supreme have progressively gotten shorter since 2018’s Blessed, which ran for almost an hour and 45 minutes — it’s loaded with hammers from some of the brand’s most well-known team members as well as a healthy helping of South Korea’s finest skaters. The full roster includes Mark Gonzales, Kader Sylla, Rowan Zorilla, Caleb Barnett, Ben Kadow, Seungwook Jee, Troy Gipson, Nik Stain, Patrick O’Mara, Kris Brown, Seven Strong, Jun Kummer, Sully Cormier, Chansuk Hong, Sun Woo Moon, Eugene Choi, and Juwon Eun. Though the runtime may be under 15 minutes, there’s no shortage of jaw-dropping moments: Gonzales is as nimble and creative as ever, Kadow puts down a balls-to-the-wall part, Sylla lands an impressive switch flip and Stain nails an impressive ollie into a ramp.
Supreme Seoul is the third recently-opened Supreme store to be accompanied by a video, as when the brand opened its Milan and Berlin outposts in 2021, each was accompanied by a video (Stallion and Mind Goblin, respectively). Watch PIGGY in its entirety above.
