adidas Korea has announced the release date for an anticipated domestic drop of its NMD S1 in collaboration with the lead designer and founder of fashion brand 99%IS, Park Jong-woo aka Bajowoo.

Known for his black eyeshadow, iconic ripped face mask and exotic hairstyles, Bajowoo might be best described by his unicorn-like eccentricity. Having developed his own unique world of style that leans into punk genres, the designer has attracted celebrity clientele like Travis Scott, Offset, Playboy Carti and Lady Gaga.

The designer’s success has now led him to collaborate with adidas Korea, for a futuristic utilitarian-styled NMD S1 after his own namesake in “Carbon,” “Core Black” and “Clear Sky.” Featured materials on the pair include black Primeknit as well as accented panels of semi-translucent Primeknit under a rubberized three-strip logo.

At the midsole, also in a semi-translucent rubberized material, is text that reads “Forever Us” and “THE TI%MELESS.” Additional branding elements include “adidas” on the front of the outsole bumpers and a motif of adidas Originals logos making up the tread of the shoe.

The adidas NMD S1 Bajowoo is set to drop on August 9 for a retail of $279 USD and at the time of writing appears to be a regional exclusive.
