‘The Witcher’ S3 V2 Trailer Offers a Glimpse Into Henry Cavill’s Final Showdown As Geralt
Cavill will be replaced in future seasons by Liam Hemsworth.
For the third season of The Witcher, showrunners split the show into two volumes – the first of which is already on Netflix and spans five episodes. Netflix has now shared a trailer for its forthcoming 3-episode second volume.
In the trailer, Geralt (Henry Cavill) is set to come face to face with evil sorcerer Vilgefortz (Mahesh Jadu) who has been stalking his daughter, among other wrongdoings. Geralt teams up with Yennefer (Anya Chalotra) to save Ciri (Freya Allen) and put an end to Vilgefortz destruction.
Other familiar faces making an appearance in the trailer include Dijkstra (Graham McTavish), Stregobor (Lars Mikkelsen), Rience (Chris Fulton) and Jaskier (Joey Batey).
The season finale will also mark Cavill’s final appearance in the starring role. For season four, Liam Hemsworth will be taking the reins to become the new White Wolf. The Witcher has proven to be one of Netflix’s more popular series and has already received an order for a fifth season.
