First Acura NSX-T Hits RM Sotheby's Auction Block
With just over 5,000 miles on the odometer.
The first of 249 Acura NSX-Ts built for North America, in the model’s final production year, has just hit the RM Sotheby’s auction block.
This particular model is not significant only because of its low serial number but also due to the immaculate condition it’s in and the low mileage on the odometer. Over the course of its life, the vehicle was owned by one driver and is sitting at just over 5,000 miles from new.
RM Sotheby’s describes the NSX-T that is finished in factory Long Beach Blue Pearl as “remarkably original” and in “carefully preserved condition,” as the vehicle comes with the original window stickers, owner’s manual, extra keys and historical service invoices.
First revealed as Acura’s halo car in 1990, the NSX has become an iconic vehicle in the automotive world and one any collector would love to have in their garage. Not long after, in 1995, the NSX-T would come along, offering a removable targa-top roof panel.
Technical specifications of this particular 2005 NSX-T include a 3.2-liter V-6, producing 290 hp with an 8,000-rpm redline – all at the behest of a six-speed manual transmission, despite the vehicle being offered in an automatic configuration, making this example a true drivers car.
On the inside, the vehicle features all-black Onyx leather throughout, white contrasting stitching, carpeted floor mats with “NSX” branding and minimal silver accents framing the infotainment center.
Offered without a reserve, bidding inquiries for the 2005 NSX-T are currently open on RM Sotheby’s official site, with the vehicle expected to realize as much as $275,000 USD.
