BAPE on Tuesday announced its venture into the great outdoors with the launch of a camping equipment label, titled “A Camping Ape.” Currently on display at Tokyo’s Isetan Shinjuku store, the practical line features all of the streetwear-savvy camper’s essentials, alongside exclusive “A Camping Ape” T-shirts.

For its latest brand extension, BAPE enlisted a handful of outdoor experts, including furniture label Helinox, Japanese camping brand JAGUY and textile giant Pendleton, to ensure buyers enjoy a stylish, scot-free camping experience.

Among the range, Helinox plants BAPE’s signature camouflage on a slew of durable chairs, tables and cupholders. Further, the outdoor label’s stainless-steel kitchenware, which includes drip kettles and stackable cups, also receives the logo treatment while keeping convenience at the fore. Closing their collaboration, the BAPE x Helinox Royal Box (a protective polyester model signature to Helinox) and the BAPE x Helinox Camo Tarp see the amalgamation of both brands’ signature design codes.

Pendleton, meanwhile, brings its notorious “Tucson” pattern to the table for a range of rustic rugs. The graphic merges with BAPE branding across the line’s collaborative rug mat, cushion glove, oven glove and apron. Rounding out the collection, JAGUY offered up a range of gear containers, soft coolers and lantern cases.

BAPE’s “A Camping Ape” collection is currently on display at the pop-up exhibition on the first floor of Isetan Shinjuku until July 18. The collection will likely hit BAPE’s webstore in the coming months.
