SPOILER ALERT: This post contains spoilers for Fast X.

With Fast X recently premiering over the weekend, Vin Diesel is already looking forward to new projects within the franchise. The titular actor recently confirmed to Variety that spinoffs within the Fast & Furious are already in the works and that fans can expect one with a female-led installment. Diesel said, “I started developing the female spinoff…in 2017 with other spinoffs, and the sooner I deliver the finale, the sooner I can launch all the spinoffs.”

Fast X is just part one of two projects for the finale. Those who watched the film already know that the film has brought back some surprise characters. In an interview earlier this May in Rome, Diesel even teased that the finale will potentially spread across three films, “Look how many characters and great talent there is in the movie. There was no way I can pull that off unless I had everyone on for five seconds. These characters are appealing and we need to see more of them.”

The tenth installment saw shocking cast returns from Gal Gadot who played Gisel and Dwayne Johnson as Luke Hobbs. Diesel said on keeping the cameos secret, “I’m so excited to have them back home and even more excited to see fan reactions and to see how happy it makes people.” Diesel also confirmed, “We have shot other things a long time ago that might not have fit that specific movie as a finale. Doing tags is a very tricky thing because you want your great talent but at the same time you have to be very careful to maintain the emotional state of your audience at the end of the movie. So that’s what you’re juggling.” While it appears that a female-led film is set in stone, Michelle Rodriguez is still uncertain about the spinoffs. She said, “You pass the baton on. You take the back seat.”

It remains to be seen when the franchises will release.

In case you missed it, Christopher Nolan revealed that Oppenheimer is his longest film yet.
