Norwegian Rain Unveils Exhibition at Shanghai's Power Station of Art
Displaying the brand’s sustainable approach to design.
The design duo behind outerwear label Norwegian Rain, T-Michael and Alexander Helle, are gearing up to debut their takeover exhibition at Shanghai’s Power Station of Art.
Titled “Petrichor and other sensory perceptions,” the artistic display presents Norwegian Rain’s shielding attire under a new light while embracing the museum’s serene atmosphere. The exhibition sees Bergen and Shanghai collide under their shared weather forecast, mutually dominated by rainy skies. Overlooking the museum’s open-plan space, Norwegian Rain hangs its sustainable offerings from wooden poles, reflecting the brand’s eco-friendly approach to design.
The initiative battles fashion’s wasteful systems through an exclusive “Bespoke Raincoat Service” housed inside the museum shop. The concept combines technological shopping with a tailored in-store experience to create a straightforward ordering process that is swift and easy.
