Tekla has announced the opening of its first retail store, which will take up residence in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Since its establishment in 2017, the band has been building its catalog of quality fabrics like sleepwear, bedding and more. Now, the brand’s first store will rest on Vognmagerade, which is in the heart of the city. The store is set to hold a range of curated products like t-shirts, boxers, sleep masks and more alongside in-store exclusives.

From a design standpoint, the debut store taps into the surrounding Nordic history. “The initial inspiration behind the store was the building itself, first constructed in the early 20th century by the famous Danish publisher Egmont Petersen,” said Tekla. “The building is a beautiful example of Nordic Classicism, a precursor to modernist design in Scandinavia, with clean classical lines. We wanted the store to feel rooted in the space and embrace the character of the building rather than fighting it.”

Take a look at the store in the gallery above. Tekla’s debut store in Copenhagen opens on Saturday, April 22.
