LEGO Ideas Channels '80s Graphic Design With Tales of the Space Age Set

The backbone of LEGO is imagination and with the Ideas line, the company has brought this element to the forefront. Operating as an opportunity for fans to submit designs that — with enough support and LEGO’s approval — can become official sets, the Ideas franchise has spawned countless creations. Last month, we took a look back at the best sets to come from the line and now we have yet another set to consider courtesy of Polish fan designer Jan Woźnica.
Tales of the Space Age utilizes minimalistic expression as it romanticizes space-themed scenery that includes a space shuttle, moon base, black hole and lunar eclipse. Constructed with 688 pieces, it comes in a four piece grouping that is postcard sized. Each three dimensional displayable portion pulls from classic posters found commonly in the ’80s with flexibility in its arrangement — including the option to connect them.
Get ready to take things to the stars as the LEGO Ideas Tales of the Space Age set lands on shelves May 8 via LEGO at a price of $50 USD.
