Moving through the year, Taiwan’s PLATEAU STUDIO has returned to present its Spring/Summer 2023 collection. Pushing the boundaries of its design outlook, the label has experimented with lace constructions, graphic knitting, convertible three-dimensional pants, and unique paneling.

The lookbook is photographed by local photographer, Alien Wang, who also established the theme of the shoot. Representation of recent life, the lookbook is based around the slowing pandemic and an ongoing return to normalcy. Expressing increasing haste and expenditure of energy that requires moments of carefree release to form a balance that is known as life as it is today. The lookbook also features settings courtesy of Taiwanese furniture showroom, MTBLM.co, House of Metabolism, which highlights lifestyle items past and present.

Leading PLATEAU STUDIO’s SS23 collection is lighter outerwear and an assortment of knitted sweaters designed to present playful graphic plays that build on the label’s youthful sensibility. A prime focus of the season is boxy short sleeve button-up shirts presented in a variety of lace constructions that offer airy see-through looks or patterned displays. Accompanying the wide and bootcut bottoms is the Western Cheese Belt, which is a play on the classic etched silver hardware leather belt with circular cutouts drawn from the comical representation of cheese seen in popular media.

Take a look at the range above and shop the SS23 collection on PLATEAU STUDIO’s website and at select retailers.
